Is a Farm Share
right for you?
Each season is its own journey and we’d be happy to have you along for the ride.
Our weekly Farm Share work great for some, but isn't for everyone & that's okay! Here are a few things to consider before you decide to join us for the season.
Is a direct relationship with your farmer important to you?
Are you willing to try new foods?
Do you have time to cook?
Are you willing to adjust your mindset and schedule to fit the weekly the pick up?
If you answered yes to most or all of these questions,
a Farm Share might be right for you.
Getting a weekly Farm Share can be an adjustment if you’re used to buying most of your food at the grocery store or the market. If you tend to eat out more, having a weekly Farm Share will encourage you to start cooking more at home.
It may take you a while to get into the routine of picking up your share every week, but Myk &/or Marena will be present every week when you pick up your vegetables. We will be here to provide support and inspiration along the way - we love vegetables and we want to help you love them too!
Growing food is risky business. There are no guarantees with the weather and plenty of moving parts in our operation, but we hope to mitigate those risks with diversity. Joining us for a season provides us with a cushin to start off on the right foot. Take a chance on us, so we can plant forward a share in the abundance of good food & healthier choices into the fall.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR WEEKLY FARM SHARE
We grow over 30 different vegetable and herb crops and we aim to feature most of them in your weekly Farm Share over the season. The following gives you a general idea of what you can expect on a seasonal basis. We aim to provide a variety of vegetables each week with a focus on salad greens, snacking vegetables, and root vegetables.

Choices
We will often incorporate choices into the basket offerings. These choices will vary and offer you some customization of the contents of your share.
Some examples are:
A choice of fresh herbs such as cilantro, dill or basil
A choice of bunched greens such as kale or chard
A choice of bunched roots such as radishes or turnips
SWAP Box
If you’re tired of turnips or have leftover lettuce you can use our swap box to switch out of the items in your share for another item. The swap box will contain a variety of items, some similar to those in your share, so you can double up on something you just can’t get enough of or snag something special.
LOGISTICS
Holiday/Away Policy
It is helpful to know if you’re going to be away but we aren’t able to credit you for weeks that you will miss.
We encourage you to find a friend or family member who can pick up the vegetables instead of you.
If this isn’t possible we’ll make sure the vegetables don’t go to waste.
Late Pick Ups
Life happens, we get it! If you are late to pick up your vegetables we will call you using the phone number you provided when signing up.
If you cannot meet us within 10 minutes of the drop off ending we will take your share back to our farm in Barss Corner.
You will have 2 days following your pick up day to arrange to come to the farm to pick up your vegetables. After 2 days we will ensure the vegetables are eaten and don’t go to waste.
